Silly Shoes Times Two

Today Bryce was very diligent about removing his tennis shoes every time he went inside, which meant that when he wanted dash outside to get something, he had to stop and take time to put his shoes back on. At one point I made the suggestion that he put on a pair of giant inflatable slippers that we'd found in the toy box from Grandma Greta. The shoes are ridiculous. (The first time we saw them was when our five year old friend Lottie was visiting and she discovered the mass of silly dress-ups. That was super funny and I wish I'd grabbed my camera because she is a real dress-up ham . . . but I digress!)
Bryce wanted absolutely nothing to do with the silly inflatable shoes, and patiently began to put on his own shoes so he could head across the yard for whatever it was he needed. However, Deacon was game for trying them out, and immediately whipped off his own shoes. His expression at seeing his feet in the giant shoes was hysterical.
Once he put the shoes on things just got funnier. Partially because each time he lifted a foot the toe of the shoe was level with his head. Not only did he trek way across the yard, he also decided to ride the "shoe bike" . . . one of my 1st birthday present from back in 1980 . . . I took so many pictures of him, but between my laughing and him hamming it up only a few weren't blurry.
