First thing in the morning (usually) Deacon races into our bedroom, saying, "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy!" I say, "Good Morning!" He replies, "Cereal!"
This kid is seriously the absolute furthest end from ADHD on the continuum. He will stick to a task for minutes and minutes, and on this particular occasion hours (two and a half to be exact). That's right, sitting and singing at his seat. Deacon's seat.
And speaking of Deacon's seat . . . fair warning. If you visit, chat, or linger for even a single cookie (like Joanne) he will ardently shoo you, albeit politely, by intently looking at you and then me and then you and then me, ad nauseum, repeatedly affirming, "Deacon's chair", until I or you take heed. And of course it's cute and so you don't mind moving to the sofa.
