Jedidiah & Jeremiah

 

Deacon came down with a cold on Sunday that progressed to the point where he had some breathing issues yesterday (of course right at 5:30 after the doctor's office was closed). After checking with his doctor on his cell phone (it's so nice to know your doctor's cell number), we got the go-ahead to take him to the ER for an evaluation. After x-rays we ruled out pneumonia, and they sent us packing (yay!) with all the goodies needed for Deacon to get his breathing back on track at home.

Recuperation for some might mean ice cream, soup, napping--but those weren't on Deacon's list--during the x-rays he requested to watch Jeremiah Johnson as soon as we got home. He even asked the x-ray technician to call him Jeremiah Johnson (the tech didn't miss a beat and told Deacon that he too was a cowboy, but had left his hat and gun at home--Deacon looked at the man's balding head in disbelief).

So this morning, after breakfast Deacon quickly reminded me of my hospital-promise to set up the movie for him, and he zoomed out of the kitchen to grab his latest Cabella's find for the occasion. So here are the boys dressed as their alternate personalities: Jedidiah Smith (Bryce) and Jeremiah Johnson (Deacon).
