Silverwood 2010, Take One

Wednesday was the one day this past week that was supposed to jump us into real Summertime eighty-degree plus weather, so the boys and I packed up for a day of fun at Silverwood and Boulder Beach with our Coeur d'Alene cousins, whose mom has a season pass.

Though we only rode three rides: planes, helicopters and the Dumbo ride (upon which Deacon required accompaniment--I think just so the parents feel incredibly ridiculous sitting inside a soaring elephant, knowing that they are being watched by passers by). Cousin Daniel rode one of the huge roller coasters that I so enjoyed in my younger days . . . and thankfully, Bryce was willing to wait for late July when we'll take a very McMurray extended family Silverwood day, and his dad can hop in with him, whilst his mom fabricates another excuse.

After enjoying the rides, we headed towards the other side of the park, to check out Boulder Beach; which was fantastic. It sported a huge lazy river, a towering younger-kid jungle gym, plus three to four other bits of pool fun we didn't have time to explore.
Talk about a fun Wednesday!

  1. Wonderful! You are welcome to stop in when you come this way again. We're just 2 miles from Silverwood. Love, Al and Daryl Kyle
