Poor Deacon had 41 pokes at the allergist's office. He was brave, knowing that it wasn't as bad as shots. (But once the nurse got going I felt like I was now experienced enough to wrestle boa constrictors for money. Talk about being 35 pounds of solid muscle.)
Turns out, Deacon is rather allergic to dogs. Regrettably, some of our favorite people have inside dogs--but the doctor said short visits were possible (as long as thorough-thorough cleaning and vacuuming had been done), but no overnights at homes with inside dogs. Oh dear!
On the super-bright side, Deacon's asthma should get better or at least not be triggered. And Dr. Wakefield advised to slightly alter the nebulizer set-up--and we've already seen an improvment! Oh, and he's mildly allergic to cattle.
