Camping Wrap-Up

 

Stick-walks proved a pretty fun camping activity, especially when you tack on catching grasshoppers, flipping rocks to looks for bugs, and discovering the entrance to a snake den! Baby brown snakes and then two huge-long ones . . . so glad to have those big sticks on hand!

On what turned out to our last morning, the tent was full of sickies (I shared my cold I'm so nice like that, generous and all). Phil made a delicious camp breakfast and then told me that we would pack up stress-free. So the kids explored a yet unknown bit of brush and we actually have fun wrapping up.

I'm sold on this camping thing! Next up we'll try snow camping . . .
