So Bryce and Deacon are enrolled in wrestling--which is adorable. It's supposed to be tough and all that, but when your already adorable six year old shows you the wrestling stance, well, it's too much. And when his seven year old brother matches him, and then they giggle all the way down . . . it's the smiley-est time.
Last week Phil was super busy, and wasn't sure how he'd be able to fit wrestling practice into his evening. I volunteered to take all four kids, and just zip Kyle and Sean out for a walk and a park stop while B & D wrestled. It was a great evening, and since we live in a gravel country road, I really enjoyed looking around neighborhoods. Sean loves riding in the stroller and Kyle had his favorite book propped so I could read it through the canopy as we walked along.
We played at the Hordeman's Pond Park, and when it got chilly buckled everyone back in buggy, then stopped to look at ducks. Kyle loved watching them. Then two nice old ladies walked by headed different directions with little dogs--Kyle thought they were pretty entertaining. We moved on, toward the west end of the little pond. Kyle scanned it expectantly, then shook his head and said a bit casually, "No ducks. No crocodiles".

Lucky for the ducks, we don't get crocodiles round these parts... :)
