After Dinner Walk Indeed

A morsel from yesterday that is too summer-boyish to be forgotten: Last night during an after dinner walk, as we approached one of the last curves to our house, Bryce wordlessly darted behind us and with appropriately cobra-like reflexes deftly nabbed a garter snake.  Bryce and Deacon then took turns holding it as we made our way home, and once we neared the driveway's top Deacon gave the snake a chance to show us all how it slinked. Kyle had hurriedly clamored out of the double jogger, and the snake was mere seconds on the ground when he picked it up, giggling as it curved around his fingers. And then, to the boys' absolute DELIGHT the snake proceeded to spit out snails.  Again and again and again.
