Grandma and Papa had given us money for Christmas this year so we went totally crazy and got a playground strength basketball hoop and all the accessories. Even though I love winter I'm now looking forward to warm weather and no mud, And of course hearing lots and lots of dribbling.
Christmas day we woke up early and had our favorite baked omelette for breakfast, along with as much of their stocking chocolate the kids could eat.

When we got back home Christmas night we were too tired to open the rest of the presents under the tree, so we waited and did those Boxing Day evening. One of the gifts we got the kids are Magna Tiles; The adults have had as much fun playing with these as the kids have.
Phil's work schedule and out so he was able to take a lot of time off and spend a lot of time at home with us--I think this is the first time that's ever happened! And it's been so much fun he's been sledding with the kids helping around the house cooking delicious food. I'm ready for him to retire and spend his whole day with me everyday.
When Phil does head off to check on the job he's been taking Bryce with him which Bryce has loved.
Thankfully Caroline wasn't mobile during Christmas, but now she's starting to shimmy backwards and get into things. Deacon and Sean who aren't typically the best playmates, have started to have a lot of fun with each of the other over break.
Bryce and you can have also had basketball camp and are looking forward to playing basketball later this winter. We've had enough snow for lots of sledding and a sledding party; which was so fun I wanted to have one the very next day.
Sean has taken Christmas break to become almost completely potty trained--we haven't left the house as much as usual, and he's taking advantage of that.
Over the course of Christmas eve and Christmas day Caroline was held almost nonstop and developed a fierce preference for only napping while held. Which means my back is very sore all the time--so my back-to-school project this next week will be getting her back on a nap schedule.
