This photo represents some resolutions:
First: to have someone else actually take photos of the two of us at family events
Second: to believe Phil when he says, "That shot will not turn out because your arm is not long enough. Let me take the picture."
Third: to get healthier so that when photos like this one turn up, we don't unanimously decide that it is better to have our faces cut off, then to see our orca-like mid-sections.
And Happy Anniversary to us! The last three years have been wonderful--but the last six months of parenthood have been best months of all.
And . . . though I love Phil for many reasons, right now it's because, when asked what he thought about the above text, he stirred himself out of a daze to reply, "It was so awesome when BJ Penn knocked out Diego Sanchez."
Also, he babysat today so I could spend the whole day with my sister.

Good post - love the pic! I have to comment that it isn't called 'babysitting', it's 'being Dad' :) Just say that little mantra to yourself over and over :)
