Dyed Eggs, Delectable Cookies

While Deacon napped Bryce and I dove into a mess of dye and wax crayons. We manged to crack one-third of our Julia Child hard-boiled eggs (some of which we dyed anyway). It was very fun, and we manged to only dye portions of the counter top for all eternity--plus Bryce dyed a his thumb's blister green. . . very exciting, but alas no picture!
I'd planned to turn this little of rainbow of protein goodness into deviled eggs for Easter, but after leaving them out overnight on the counter to really set the dye richly, it somehow seemed less then suitable to serve them up to unsuspecting family members; who might harbor some serious scruples about counter-stored eggs . . . pretty though!

Later Deacon and I made Elise C's sour-cream sugar cookies with cream cheese frosting; and being McMurrays we added mini chocolate chips to the batter.  Wonderful!  Both boys helped with the cutting out part and then we all frosted and sprinkled (and certain small people did some quality checks on the frosting).  Lovely and delicious!
