Epiphany Cake & Pop Guns

We met Epiphany with burning desires to spend the Black Angus & Cabela's gift cards that were burning their own holes in Phil's wallet. (Black Angus was good--especially the bread, ironic, hunh?) The boys were thrilled to get pop guns (which were quickly banned for in-car use), and Phil was even more thrilled to hit a goose and duck decoy extravaganza sale--needless to say, we now have a lot of goose and duck decoys.

So we celebrated a little more with an Epiphany cake (actually a yellow cake with chocolate pudding mix stirred in) I decided to hide pennies inside--apparently I left my brain at Cabela's, turns out yellow cake mix with chocolate pudding mixed in is the exact shade of penny. (No one choked!) Then we decked it out with homemade cream-chocolate-marshmallow drizzle, sprinkles, and more marshmallows. The kids loved it--almost as much as the pop guns.
