My wonderful grandfather celebrated his eighty-third birthday today. He is an incredibly driven man--a man that you're thankful is up there on the family tree. His career was strong, and even in his retirement he continued to work diligently, advising businesses in Russia, Ukraine and Iraq (and other places too, but those really stood out to me).
My wonderful grandfather holds such a dear place in my heart, and for that matter my mother's. Once he and I (what a glorious team) made our way into my house to fill up the hall bathtub with tadpoles. Wasn't he a child's best friend? The good times I recall with him are endless . . .
